Do Not Give Up -

Do not give up hope.
Sometimes it’s easy for you to forget.
You may make mistakes,
You may forget to do your best,
But you are a light to this world.

In your deepest heart
You care.
You care about your loved ones
Your wife, your husband,
Your children,
Your parents,
Your friends and your neighbors
Your country,
And your world.

When you recognize your choice,
You choose to help.
You choose to forgive,
You choose to try again.

When you see someone helpless
I know you try to help.
Whether with a thought, a prayer,
A kind word, or a smile,
They are renewed and nourished.
I know that you feel for them.

I know you are always good.
Even when you sometimes forget.

Don’t let your forgetting get you down.
Endure in your buoyancy and optimism.
You are more tender and encouraging than you realize.

If you saw all the goodness which shines from you,
You might be overwhelmed.
But you are just the way God made you,
Radiant and unpretentious.
Easy, familiar and natural.
An inspiration that touches thousands
With the example of your own thoughtful actions.

No testament can last longer
Than the love you infill in the lives
Of those you touch.

Do not lose heart,
Don’t let the rough days get you down.
You are made of the abiding steadfast stuff
That ever prevails.
