Bush's Ports, Iran's Bourse & Messianic Bombings...

He’s knocked down—but not out; delayed—but not dismayed—creepin’ but not crawlin’—and most assuredly—chuckin’ and jivin’! Are we talkin’ “dumb as a rock” or “dumb like a fox” (maybe even “dumb like a fox-rock”) regarding Bush’s alleged gaff over the U.A.E. taking over management/control of 21 (6 for sure) strategic America ports? Sheeple—it’s time to think, and think critically for a change. Things like this just don’t happen—nor are things always what they appear to be. I mean, do you really believe this was the first time the President of the United States of America heard about this deal of an Arab State like the U.A.E.—one of only three nations on earth who had given the Taliban of Afghanistan legitimate recognition, and who the FBI confirmed allowed their banking system to funnel cash to Osama bin Laden’s gang to wipe out Americans—taking over these ports?

Come on now—Bush wants Abu Dhabi/Dubai to transfer our military supplies in and out of America’s super ports, when the UAE’s sterling track record shows they (1) function as a “key transfer point for illegal shipments of nuclear components to Iran, North Korean and Libya; and (2) did not cooperate in efforts to track down OBL’s bank accounts (US Treasury Dept. ThinkProgress.org – 2/17/06).

And, what a deal have we here! One thing’s certain: America’s Longshoreman’s Union is about to be hammered—nothing like the “merchants of the earth” squeezing out the last vestige of the American worker with any clout “from sea to shining sea” all on behalf of the burgeoning skyline of Dubai, site of the world’s tallest structure (the 190-story Burj Dubai—no wonder Michael Jackson lives here!).

“Currently, London-based Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Co., the fourth largest port operator in the world, runs the six ports. But the $6.8 billion sale of P&O to UAE-owned Dubai Ports World (DPW) would effectively turn over North American operations to the government-owned company in Dubai. If the approval is unchallenged, Dubai Ports World would run the ports of New York, New Jersey, Baltimore, New Orleans, Miami and Philadelphia.” (FOX NEWS, Feb. 16, 2006) ) (Note: That total could go as high as 21 ports!)

IS “FREE TRADE” REALLY INVOLVED HERE?

Think of it…the buck stops at Bush…he vows to veto an outraged congress (even though the “Catoites” think this deal’s 90% political and 10% for real)—like, why would the CATO Institute do downfield blocking for Bush on this one? Consider their libertarian expertise a la Daniel T. Griswold, who directs the Center for Trade Policy Studies at CATO in D.C., who goes as far as to say: “This could not only be an economic mistake (i.e., for Congress to delay/block the $6.8B deal with UAE) but a foreign policy blunder.” (IPS, Feb. 18, 2006)

Wow, a “blunder!” On whose part? Let’s keep looking at this picture—there’s something askew here . . . but we’re getting warmer . . .

“How much does ‘free’ trade have to do with this? How about a lot (Sarota’s opinion, not mine). The Bush administration is in the middle of a two-year push to ink a corporate-backed ‘free’ trade accord with the UAE. At the end of 2004, in fact, it was Bush Trade Representative Robert Zoellick who proudly boasted of his trip to the UAE to begin negotiating the trade accord. Rejecting this port security deal might have set back that trade pact. Accepting the port security deal - regardless of the security consequences - likely greases the wheels for the pact. That's probably why instead of backing off the deal, President Bush - supposedly Mr. Tough on National Security - took the extraordinary step of threatening to use the first veto of his entire presidency to protect the UAE's interests. Because he knows protecting those interests - regardless of the security implications for America - is integral to the ‘free’ trade agenda all of his corporate supporters are demanding.” (David Sarota, The Dirty Little Secret Behind the UAE Port Security Flap, Sarotablog, February 21, 2006)

COME ON LEFTIES, THINK—AMPING UP FOR WAR WITH IRAN…TAKING OUT THE OIL BROUSE

Sure – if you’re talkin’ big bucks with Moslem states, why stop at the UAE; let’s shoot the global gap:

“In May 2003, the President announced his initiative to create a Middle East Free Trade Area (MEFTA) by 2013. The initiative is designed to deepen U.S. trade relationships with all countries of the region, through steps tailored to individual countries’ level of development. Since that announcement, the United States has concluded FTA negotiations with Morocco and Bahrain, and signed TIFAs with Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Yemen, and Oman. The United States already has TIFAs with Egypt, Algeria, and Tunisia. The United States recently held its first TIFA Council meetings with Tunisia, the UAE, Kuwait, and Qatar. In addition, the United States has made progress with the WTO accessions of Saudi Arabia and Algeria, and in the case of Algeria, extended GSP benefits.” (spofga.org, Feb. 16, 2006)

Consider, first of all, who allegedly cleared this deal before the President supposedly knew nothing about it? By the way, we’re still friends, since you bought my bridge, took my offer on Katrina swamp land down in the bayou—now it’s time for a non-qualified buyer like you to buy that $450,000 dream home on my Adjustable Rate Mortgage (interest only for the first three years) right here in sunny California!

So, let’s look at the boys and girl (Condi Rice) who put this one to bed for Mr. Bush according to the President’s press secretary, Scott McClellan: It was approved by the U.S. Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), a 12-member panel chaired by Treasury Secretary John Snow and comprised of members of the departments of State, Defense, Justice, Commerce and Homeland Security, to name a few.

We’re talking about a substantial number of the President’s Cabinet—and, no biggie, just a miserly $6.8B and a massive attempt of a Middle Eastern “Free Trade Zone” that will create a huge counterweight to the Euro, the Yen, the you-name-it currency. And, best of all, utterly isolate the Iranians and their blasted attempt to detoxify themselves, and the nations, from the US Dollar addiction by (this March, 2006) creating their much-vaunted Oil Bourse (See: William Clark, The Real Reasons Why Iran is the Next Target: The Emerging Euro-denominated International Oil Marker, The Center for Research on Globalization, Oct 2004).

Now, to halt Iran for blocking America’s attempt at creating such a Free Trade Zone—while haranguing Iran (and she does make for a great Wipe-Israel-Off-The-Map target) and her nuclear bomb aspirations—Bush has to assure the merchants of the earth that he’ll keep the oil spicket open (i.e., the Straits of Hormuz—which the UAE, Oman, and Iran border). Naturally, to do this—WHILE TAKING OUT IRAN—he’ll have to provide strategic guarantees for all the Gulf States and keep Iran from blocking the spicket by blowing up oil tankers and the like. Furthermore, keeping the UAE and their Sheiks sufficed, he more than assures them of maximum cooperation when it would be so desperately needed—imagine, the Iran-Syrian-Hamas alliance fully braces for the attack of its life; and, the US Treasury-Commerce Depts. in full cooperation with the US Defense-State-Homeland Security-Justice Depts., along with the full-blown US-Israel Strategic Alliance team (see four-part articles on the US-Israel Strategic Alliance on the Tribulation Network) collaborate to take out the Oil Bourse.

IRAN’S ON THE MOVE—FINANCIAL BONANZA FOR HAMAS

No need to go into Iran’s missile capabilities and abilities to block the world’s most vital water passage—let alone retaliation for what bodes as a massive air, land, and sea attack from both Israel and the USA and other allies like Britain (Please see a gazillion articles on this upcoming war @ globalresearch.ca).

Are you getting the picture? US Military pre-positioning throughout the Persian Gulf has been going on for years—and surrounding Iran on all sides are numerous US bases in adjoining states to Iran. Now the US is getting real jittery as Iran continues to be on a full-blown war footing.

Iran, inspired by obvious US designs in the region—especially her region—this week (Feb 20, 2006) extended her influence right into the heart of Israel (Hitler = Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad—“Wipe Israel Off the Map”) by making up the funding cut off by Israel to the Palestinian Authority. So Iran is the winner—funding the Hamas effort to wipe Israel off the map! (Guardian, Simon Tisdall, Reaction to Hamas victory is gift to Iran’s leaders, Feb. 22, 2006).

THE CENTER OF MESSIANIC ISLAM BLOWN TO BITS!

Grief, before the cyber ink dries the “situation” just gets worse—or is it getting optimum for the US to make her move? Well folks, check out these clips on our Tribulation Network site and you’ll understand that the Shiites are devastated at what happened when their most sacred shrine was bombed (akin to the Vatican of Shiite Moslems). The attack on the Al-Askari Shrine (where Imam Ali Al-Hadi and his son Hassan Al-Askari (as well as Al-Askari’s son Muhammed is “hidden”)) are entombed under a golden dome 68 meters in circumference, with two golden minarets 36 meters high., also known as the Golden Mosque, in the city of Samarra (just north of Baghdad, Feb. 23, 2006), immediately enflamed widespread rioting among Shiites across Iraq and reprisal attacks on Sunni mosques—as well as severe curfews to quell the rioting. The Golden Dome was blown to smithereens by the Sunnis. Come on now—we’re talking full-blown civil war here—just what the old Sunni establishment in Iraq want (civil war).

Now—just think how sacred, and what a disaster this really is to Shiites and what a shockwave, especially, since Imam Hasan Al-Askari is purported to have had an heir, a son, Muhammad, hidden in a cellar beneath the Shrine. At his death, Hasan said of his heir, his son, the Hidden Imam:

“O my dear child, you are the Master of the Age, you are the Mahdi (Messiah), you are the Proof of God on earth, my child, my Representative, and, as my offspring, you are Muhammad, my good son, a child of the Apostle, the last of the Imams, pure and virtuous. The apostle of God has informed the people about you.”

This same “Hidden Imam” disappeared beneath a cellar of the Mosque…

“Shiite Islam looks forward to the reappearance of the concealed Imam (the heir of Imam Hasan). In many ways there are remarkable parallels between the Messiah-to-come and the long-expected Mahdi. According to the Shiite theologian, on the Day of Judgment a great resurrection of the dead will occur. The most evil men will return to earth to be punished for their wickedness, especially their persecution of the faithful. This resurrection will be limited to both the notorious evildoers and the Muslim saints and martyrs.

“Others will remain in their graves. In this preliminary judgment, followers of the Hidden Imam will be able to punish their oppressors. Ali himself (buried beneath the blown out shrine) will return to earth, carrying the staff of Moses and wearing the magical ring of Solomon. He will rally his supporters; assemble a vast army of Shiites on the banks of the Euphrates, and march off to destroy Satan and his host of infidels. Then Muhammad (the Prophet) who is the Hidden Imam (successor to Imam Hasan Al-Askari) will appear with well-armed battalions of angels. When Satan sees him he will recognize that his cause is lost. Finally - so the Muslim story goes - Muhammad will thrust a spear of light into Satan and God's victory will become assured.” (Dr. Young Oon Kim, From World Religions, Vol. I)

So—Shiite Moslems have had their Shrine blown to bits!

“Ever since the Twelfth Imam disappeared from his home in Samarra, pious Muslims have visited a shrine erected in his honor (the Al-Askari Shrine). At the entrance to the cellar into which the Hidden Imam vanished the faithful pilgrim prays for his return to inaugurate God’s kingdom. With intense longing and great hope, the Muslim pleads to the long-awaited Mahdi:

“‘I bear witness that thou art the established truth, that there can be no mistake or doubt, and that God’s promise of thy coming is sure. But I am dismayed at thy tarrying so long, and do not have patience to wait for the distant time...O my Leader, if I am living on the bright day of thy coming, with its littering standard, then am I thy servant to command. May I have opportunity for martyrdom before thee!’” (Ibid. From World Religions, Vol. I)

IS THERE AN APOCALYPTIC SCENARIO GOING ON HERE—ONE INVOLVING THE TRUE MESSIAH?

Sure there is. The US Military is so deep into the region—and, as we speak moving tons of equipment and troops (rest assured) for the “blowout”—this spring of 2006, at the very latest, wherein the strategic convergence of the Iran-Iraq-Hamas-Israel-Syria-Persia Gulf nightmare will uncork—setting the stage for the Gog-Magog War (Please see our series on Antichrist and the Gog-Magog War @ The Tribulation Network).

Cartoons of the Prophet; multitudes of Moslems outraged by the West; Egypt refusing to cooperate with the US-Israel curtailment of funds for Hamas; Turkey’s mammoth anti-West demonstrations; and now the Shiites of Iraq and Iran (which is 95% Shiite) are enraged over the destruction of their sacred messianic shrine . . . just do the calculations . . . don’t think that the USA-UAE deal is some fluke of economic globalism: NO, NO, NO! It’s 100% premeditated and calculated for maximum effect.

Carl Rove (the President’s key adviser in “crisis management”) suggested (Feb. 24, 2006) a delay before the deal goes through, but the REVIEW is a done deal.

Of course Secretary of Defense (Donald Rumsfeld), Secretary of Homeland Security (Michael Chertoff), (Feb. 17, 2006) and Secretary of the Treasury (John Snow) chairman of the CFIUS (The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States) overseeing the purchase by the governmental port agency of the UAE government—all deny they had any foreknowledge about the deal until the media reports. Underlings allegedly sealed the deal before they even heard about it! Talk about disconcerting!

The apocalyptic scenario of which we allude speaks directly concerning the allies allied against Gog-Magog in the great End of Days’ War involving the enemies of Israel vs. those allied against Gog-Magog.

Sheba and Dedan, the ancient designations for those states which today occupy the Saudi Arabian Peninsula, are allied with the ancient merchant trading empire known as the Ships of Tarshish—together against Gog-Magog.

In our previous articles we have clearly pointed out (Please see Chapter 21, GOG-MAGOG SCENARIO - Gog’s Opposition: The Antichrist @ The Tribulation Network.) that nations in this very peninsula are absolutely allied with the forces of Antichrist himself! I suggest several verses to refresh your memory (interspersed with commentary):

“Sheba, Dedan, the merchants of Tarshish, and all her young lions (i.e., Saudi Arabian Peninsula nations and the End-of-Days hegemonic commercial empire of the West, the United States of America and her allies, primarily the “young lions” of the English speaking West) will say to you (“you” being both the “King of the North” and the “King of the South” from Daniel 11:40-45 and throughout Ezekiel 38-39), including virtually all Islamic states to Israel’s immediate North and South—i.e., Gog and Magog (Gog and the allies of Gog, Magog) or Turkey, Iran, Egypt, Libya, Sudan, etc.) ‘Have you come to take plunder? Have you gathered your army to take booty, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, TO TAKE GREAT PLUNDER?’” (Ezekiel 38:13).

The fixation of Sheba, Dedan, and the Ships of Tarshish (the ancient Phoenician-Punic trading Empire, archetype of the latter days Commercial Empire of Charles Krauthammer (Democratic Globalism @ The Tribulation Network) on all this material—rank commercialism—is precisely what is happening today and with ever-increasing clarity as never seen in human history ere the time which we affirm to be the prelude to Antichrist’s appearance—of Him Who shall defeat the Apostate: THE MESSIAH, Jesus of Nazareth!

These two (Sheba and Dedan) are first mentioned as grandsons of Cush in Genesis 10:7. Later, in Genesis 25:3, we read of two grandsons of Abraham's named Sheba and Dedan as well, born to Jokshan, a son of Abraham and his 2nd wife, Keturah. It's not clear which pair of grandsons is being referenced, but commentaries none-the-less identify these two as probably representing the nations of the Arabian Peninsula, notably Saudi Arabia.

According to archaeologists W. F. Albright and Wendell Phillips, Sheba was on the southwestern edge of the Arabian Peninsula across the Red Sea from present-day Ethiopia. Sheba is known in history as Saba in Southern Arabia, the Sabaeans of classical geography, who carried on the trade in spices with the other peoples of the ancient world. Dedan was probably the habitat of the Arabs on the northern part of the Arabian Desert, which is modern-day Saudi Arabia. The ancient capital of Saudi Arabia is still called Dedan on many maps today. Friends – events truly have overtaken us. No, this is different, very different. You may scoff and scorn—decry all you wish and want that we are but alarmists; that for centuries Christian believers—yea, Jews and Moslems alike, have alluded to these times, but nothing comes of it. Alas! Never has it been thus in history’s panoply of perversion, persecution, and prophetic unfolding.

Driven—driven to decide, and decide you will and must, whether you wish to or not. The Prophet Joel had your number, my number, way back when—for he foresaw this very day:

“Assemble and come, all you nations, and gather together all around. Cause Your mighty ones to go down there, O Lord. Let the nations be wakened, and come up to the Valley of Jehosphaphat; for there I will sit to judge all the surrounding nations, put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, go down; for the winepress is full, the vats overflow—for their wickedness is great.”

“Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision. The sun and moon will grow dark, and the stars will diminish their brightness. The Lord also will roar from Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem; the heavens and earth will shake; but the Lord will be a shelter for His people, and the strength of the children of Israel” (Joel 3:11-16).
