Does God Care Who Wins The Super Bowl? Yes.

Does God care who wins sporting events, Grammy awards, etc?

Yes.

Virtually every event (especially big events) in ones life leads to other events in that person's life. God cares about the events in our lives and is ultimately working out His own bigger plans of which we are merely a part.

For example, if Ben Roethlisberger wins a Super Bowl for the Steelers (which is my prayer) he will have other events that will happen to him as a result of that. Those events are important to God, because everything in Ben Roethlisberger's life is important to God. In fact, everything in your life is important to God as well.

But...will God cause Big Ben to win a Super Bowl if Ben otherwise might not have? Maybe. Only God knows (and He didn't bother to tell me when I asked).

But we can answer our question of whether He cares who wins in the affirmative. Of course, He cares. He cares about everyone and everything.

Matthew 10:29-31 says, "Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows."
