After Texas beat USC for the College football National Championship, I walked into a co-workers office to congratulate her since she is a big Texas fan. Being from Oklahoma City, I am not (Go Sooners) but thought I would do the nice thing. Bad idea. This person launched into me about being a hypocrite because I don't like Texas and wanted Texas to win this game just so OU could beat them next year and say we beat the National Champions. Befuddled, I informed her that I never wanted Texas to win and was pulling for USC (which was not fun either). But since Texas won I thought I should congratulate her. She continued her tirade so I just walked out. Now we all know what the Bible says about forgiving people...70x7 times in a day and all that stuff. That's not what I want to point out. About 30 minutes later she came in my office and apologized, which I accepted. I want to point out that she apologized and asked for forgiveness. Many times we concentrate on the fact that we are supposed to forgive others and don't recognize how often we should be the ones asking for forgiveness. I applaud her. Is there someone you should ask for forgiveness? Go.
