Martha Peace Seeks to Change Attitudes

By: Johnny Kicklighter

Author Martha Peace wrote a book some years back titled "Attitudes of a Transformed Heart." The premise of her work is Romans 12:2, i.e., be "transformed by the renewing of your mind" and not being "conformed to this world." Non-Christians and Christians alike often embrace a low view of God, and consequently a casual view of sin and Scripture. Instead of perceiving God as "Most High", they attempt to make God subservient to man by thinking of "Man (as) Most High." This low view of God is reflected in their attitudes about God, their attitudes about Scripture, and their attitudes of the heart.

Martha Peace has served as a biblical counselor for several years and routinely speaks at conferences on issues important to women. She will be traveling to southern Illinois this fall to be the featured speaker at a ladies conference. The conference is being hosted by Gateway Biblical Counseling and Training Center located in Fairview Heights, Illinois.

The conference is scheduled for October 13-14, 2006 and will be held at Edgemont Bible Church, 5100 North Illinois, Fairview Heights, Illinois, 62208 (618-277-3990). Conference details are posted at www.gateway-biblical-counseling.net.
