Only Time

I am a liar,
do not believe a word I say
I will tell you that I want,
but please just go away

Sometimes I need you close to me,
but those times you are out of reach
I do not care for anybody,
but I am an emotional leech

Where are you going,
who are you with
The true love feeling,
is only just a myth

I would like to be there with you,
but do not invade my space
The truth must be said,
but you lie with amazing grace

There are people who use you,
for who you might be
Your eyes are not open
yet you have so much to see

Will you be there for me,
I do not really care
It is really true what they say,
that life is never fair

Another day is coming,
maybe better than the last
It is time to look ahead,
and not dwell so much on the past.
