Open The Gate

Looking through an open mind,
new worlds before your eyes
Forget what you have been told,
let your heart forgive all the lies

Ask what is your life's function,
can you hear a familiar voice
Expression is a form of freedom,
there will always be that choice

Fantasy verses reality,
it is all the same in the end
To all the doubtless wonders,
who sit back and try to pretend

Take hold of a floating thought,
use the knowledge to overcome the fear
Shut down everything inside you,
maybe then you will begin to hear

The hourglass has been turned,
sands of time take away from your life
Cut the cord that is attached to you,
take hold of the double edged knife.
