The Changing

Smiles change to shivers,
sweaters are now worn
Soon will be the coming,
the snowflakes are now born

A blanket of pure white,
will cover the green
The beauty of a flower,
will no longer be seen

With the ponds and lakes,
all looking like glass
We know that in time,
this to will soon pass

The changing of the seasons,
all year round
And with them new experiences,
that can always be found

We all have these seasons within us,
that change us a certain way
Hot as Hell one moment,
then cold the very next day

There are some things that happen in life,
that we simply cannot explain
Like the moon, the stars and Heaven,
also the coming of a mid-summer rain

And with the changing of the seasons,
there is one we really know
That when it comes to winter,
there will always be cold white snow.
