The Gift

Travel through the corridors,
the pathways in your mind
Are you afraid?
of maybe what you will find

Open up the gateway,
let your imagination take control
Take out the mental plug,
which is blocking your inner soul

Dive deep within the waters,
the words are floating free
And do not open your eyes,
for this is stopping you to see

Cover your ears and listen,
for the words will come to you
Remember that this is a cherished gift,
given to just a few

The pen may sometimes move itself,
some would think it has a mind of it's own
The seed of creativity is within you,
know yourself that it has grown

It is remarkable,
to be able to write your feelings down
And if there is a blank piece of paper,
let your imagination become unbound.
