John Henderson, defensive tackle, was jumping up and down at the goal line, shaking his head from side to side and screaming at the top of his lungs. You could see he wanted a stop. He wanted a shutout. He wanted salvation after an upsetting defensive performance at Washington and well, he got all three. The worst Jet’s loss in 20 years happened to them before Jacksonville. The Jaguars scored touchdowns on four of their first five possessions, quickly rebounding from consecutive losses and beating the New York Jets 41-0 on Sunday. The general feeling between the Jets was frustration after the way they played against Washington. Maybe because they knew they were better than that or maybe because they felt they had to show people that the last game wasn't really them. The Jaguars intercepted Pennington three times, forced a fumble, held the Jets to 177 total yards and posted their second shutout of the season. They also continued the offensive barrage that began last week in the 36-30 loss. For them the story was different, they felt good because last week was truly a hard one to swallow but you could see that they were never down and they always knew they would bounce back. The result was exactly what any team would wish for after two loses in the previous games. The Jaguars sealed the victory with a field goal and a touchdown on their first two possessions of the second half. The touchdown came three plays after Pennington was intercepted for the third time.
