The Need

Have you ever had someone?
that you could count on every day
Who will listen to your every word?
no-matter what you say

To be there through the thick and thin,
whatever time they call
To have your arms extended,
when you see they are going to fall

I very much look forward,
to the times that are ahead
The ending of this existence,
is the only thing I dread

There are very few people,
that I can truly call a friend
And if a heart is broken,
I would like to be there to help it mend

We all need someone,
to be there when we're down
And if a loved one needs me,
they know I'll be around

My friends are my salvation,
I could not live without their care
And to these few special people,
it is my feelings I will always share.
