Let’s start by taking a look at leadership traits and characteristics: Exploration and persuasion The first and foremost thing for a leader to do is to be an explorer. Unless you don’t dare to ask questions or get your query answered, you will feel directionless and be one of the herd. Once you start asking questions, you will be surprised at the amount of knowledge you can gather and grasp. You can now use this knowledge to persuade people into doing the right thing and be a role model. If you have faith in your thoughts then you should be able to find courage. Courage makes up for one of the most essential qualities of a strong leader. Finding courage is not that difficult. If you are enthusiastic about your ideas, you will want to defend them, which is exactly when you will find courage. A true leader rises tall, with his/her heart filled with courage in face of opposition. Communication and Cooperation Another essential skill a good leader should possess is the skill of clear communication. It doesn’t matter what medium you are using to communicate, you need to be able to let your ideas out clearly, without misleading or confusing your subordinates. Leaders can be positive or negative; a good positive leader will make sure that he/she cooperates with the team. Continuous Improvement Good leaders always make sure that they review their progress, build new dreams and develop more courage over time. Continuous improvement is the key to success. You have to review your faults, try to fix them and be a better leader for tomorrow.
