I am an Advocate at the Lubumbashi Bar Association and Lecturer at the Faculty of Law/University of Lubumbashi in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Also, I am a human rights lawyer and worked as the Executive Director in one leading Congolese human rights NGO named CERDH (Centre for Human Rights, Democracy and Transitional Justice Studies) and Coordinator of the UNESCO Chair of Human Rights for Central Africa and the Southern African Development Community (SADC) countries at the University of Lubumbashi in the DRC. I have a Masters degree in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa (University of Pretoria in South Africa); another Masters in Law (University of Lubumbashi in the DRC); a Diploma Transitional Justice from the ICTJ & IJR Joint programme Fellowship (Cape Town/South Africa); an Advanced Certificate in International Law (PGGA / Centre for Human Rights: University of Pretoria), an Advanced Certificate in Peace building (ASPR) and; a LLB (University of Lubumbashi in the DRC). I have worked as consultant for many institutions in the fields of Human Rights, Democracy and Justice and actually I am involve in the ABA Subcommittee on Humanitarian Law 2006 with Jane E. Durgom-Powers from IFFAMPAC and Juli Campagna from the ABA (We are drafting a Convention on the protection of families who have been incidentally or intentionally separated as result of armed conflict).
